Shoko Tendo, daughter of a yakuza boss, depicts her chaotic life of drug-addiction, miscarriage, deaths, poverty and psychological & sexual abuse through her heart-breaking memoir. She is known as the first Japanese female ever to break the code of silence and speak about life for women in the underworld.She wrote a book called Yakuza Moon: Memoirs of a Gangster’s Daughter. The tattoo artist that inked her said that she took it like a real Yakuza. She showed no signs of pain.
